EDEN AT THE GARDEN

Branding & Design

Eden at the Garden was conceived as an upscale bar and nightlife destination for a historic theatre on Pittsburgh's North Shore. To bring the concept to life and put it in front of potential partners, the venue needed a brand with presence at first glance. Sparq created the identity, anchored by a logo that turns the iconography of Eden into a single striking emblem.

The name carries a double meaning. Eden calls up the lush, forbidden paradise of the garden, while "the Garden" nods to the theatre the venue was set to call home. That duality shaped the design. The mark plays on both readings at once, a place and a temptation, giving the brand a clear point of view to build from.

Project Information

 The Ask
Design a logo and visual identity for a new upscale nightlife concept, built to capture 1920s glamour with a modern sensibility. It needed to feel premium and atmospheric, and to give the concept a confident, memorable face to take to potential partners.

 Project Information
At the center of the work is the logo. Built around the imagery of Eden, it features a serpent winding up the tree of knowledge, an apple set in its branches, framed within a columned Art Deco arch. The composition reads as a gateway, drawing on the themes of temptation and the forbidden that the name suggests. Clean, geometric linework keeps the symbolism refined and contemporary rather than literal.
With the mark established, the look was built outward. The direction draws on upscale Art Deco and 1920s glamour, brought into the present through modern typography and a palette of jewel tones, deep teal, mauve, mustard, and sage, finished with gold. Color and type came together to tie the identity into one cohesive world: moody, luxurious, and full of character.

The result is a brand built to seduce, an identity as rich and atmospheric as the experience it was made to promise. Rooted in mythology, styled in Art Deco, and brought to life through a bold jewel-tone palette, Eden at the Garden proves how much mood, meaning, and allure a single mark can command.
